A native of the Lyran Alliance, O'Shea is an avid gambler both on and off the field. He originally agreed to join the Flaming Devil Monkeys in exchange for Bane paying off his creditors. His natural penchant for risk-taking can sometimes get him into trouble in both areas, although he also sometimes produces spectacular wins as well. He is well known for using the jump jets on his Gallowglas to leap into the midst of enemy formations.
After the action on Tohelet, O'Shea was promoted to Lieutenant and moved to Commander Bane's Silverback lance in order to operate as second in command, freeing up Bane to operate as overall field commander.
